Verdict

Pleasure Dome is unbeaten in handicaps but Peter Chapple-Hyam's filly may meet her match today in the shape of ARGUS. Successful three times last season, Ralph Beckett's colt has been lightly campaigned this time around and is almost certain to appreciate this step up in trip. Parliamentarian only found one too good off this mark when going for a hat-trick at Haydock so shouldn't be far away but the handicapper has probably now got to grips with Champagne Champ and Marmajuke Bay. But Not Never was second in last year's Melrose and would be a threat to all if a recent second at Newbury has blown away the cobwebs.
