Verdict

Improvement is expected from Wild Rockette however GOLDEN ARIA has the best form in the race and is preferred to Lady's Purse who looks an interesting newcomer for Godolphin. Richard Hannon's filly was a promising fourth on her debut at Newbury a couple of weeks ago when relatively unfancied at 14/1. She shaped then as if she would get this extra distance so despite being out of a five furlong winner, it may be the Rakti side of her pedigree that is dominant. Lady's Purse was a relatively cheap purchase for connections but this well-related filly should not be underestimated, with winning siblings at a variety of distances. Miniyamba is open to more improvement with each race and John Dunlop's filly, a 230,000 guineas purchase racing in Benny Andersson's colours, cannot be overlooked. Pipette comes from a successful family and the Pivotal filly needs plenty of respect as she makes her racecourse debut; she is one of a few in the race with a number of entries this week. Red Intrigue, a sister to Red Liason, Shelfah, another well-related Selkirk filly, and Cyan Eyed, from a stable capable of producing a first-time-out winner, should all feature highly on any shortlist. Wild Rockette was well-held on her first start at Newbury in August but not much was expected of her then and she is bred to come into her own over this sort of trip as she gets more experience under her belt. The market should help provide some further clues in what looks a devilishly tricky race to assess, however we will plump for the once-raced Golden Aria to prevail.
