Verdict

The stalls will be placed on the far side for this race, so high numbers might just be favoured and, with that in mind, Byo and Who's Winning form our two against the field, with the vote going to Byo. The selection remains in good heart and has actually won from today's mark, albeit in an apprentice handicap at Haydock. Admittedly, this is quite a competitive affair but, that said, Byo has a pretty good profile for it and should give you a decent run for your money. Who's Winning won last time on his first run since being claimed by Brendan Powell and, having been competitive in the past from higher marks, could well well again as his confidence will be at a high. Among a number of others to consider are Kallista's Pride, a course winner from a pound-lower mark than today in an amateurs' handicap in July and who also has reasonable recent efforts to her name, Pulse, who has won from today's mark - which was in an apprentices' handicap - and Chantelle, who can be given a good shout on the basis of her best Irish form, are others to consider, while it will be interesting also to see how the maiden form of Iltravitore and Millinsky stands up. And while it might sound crazy, Bennanabaa has at times shaped like he has a race in him and he does race in first-time blinkers today. Overall, though, the vote goes to Byo.
