Dakota Gold may be in the veteran stage now but the handicapper is beginning to relent and he won’t mind the ground. However, he is drawn in the centre of the track. Mr Wagyu ran his usual game race in last week’s Ayr Gold Cup and should be able take a lead from Danzan up the stands’ rails but John Quinn also saddles BRAZEN BOLT and the easy Thirsk winner may be the one to be on with Gianluca Sanna taking off 5lb again. Twelfth Knight has won twice over course and distance this season, beating Origintrail on the latter occasion, but Indian Creak couldn’t cope with a further 5lb rise when on a hat-trick at Goodwood. Abate does handle good to soft but is better on quicker surfaces.
