Verdict

ULTRA VIOLET made an impressive winning debut at Newmarket but pulled too hard when sent off favourite for the Sweet Solera over 7f at the same track and her race was quickly over. Ed Vaughan’s headstrong filly may well be allowed to bowl along in front over today’s minimum trip and gets another chance. Poets Dance has placed in all three starts so far and went close at Nottingham last time. She should figure along with Hot Affair, who shares ownership with Led Astray but is preferred to the latter after finding one too good over track and trip. The remaining pair are harder to recommend.
