Verdict

There's pace all across this field so it will be interesting to see where the high numbers head. We're going to take a chance with ISHETOO who should get a nice tow from Thebes and last year's winner Bel Cantor whilst the likes of Johannes and Red Cape have obvious claims. Thebes has been struggling of late as has Damika who won this two years ago, Silver Wind and Shotley Mac may find this too competitive whilst it's been a long time since Good Gorsoon delivered. Filligree failed to land a blow at Goodwood in the race won by Johannes when one place behind Sunrise Safari but Vhujon had run on well to take fourth. Vhujon could struggle to come from behind at this track as may Sunrise Safari but everything should be in place for Johannes and Red Cape to go close. However, we're going to side with Ishetoo who finished second on his side when fifth in the Great St Wilfrid when partnered by Jamie Kyne. David Allan takes over in the saddle today and we fancy him to time his challenge to perfection to get Ishetoo home in front.
