      Verdict

      Connections have had to be patient with ROAR (NAP) but they gained due reward when he justified the long trip down to Newmarket. With Lewis Edmunds' claim offsetting a rise in the weights, Brian Ellison's charge is hard to get away from. Ya Jammeel is in rude health at present. He added a victory at Epsom on Thursday to a share of the spoils at Chepstow and he’s every chance of going close under a penalty. Starplex won a race over hurdles prior to getting off the mark on the Flat. That probably wasn't the strongest of maidens but he coped best with conditions on the day. Indy hasn’t won for quite some time and though his losing run is stretching back for four years, his stable are in fair nick at present.
