In depth

Verdict

Comicas was a short price to get off the mark in a Doncaster maiden last month and duly obliged. He had an entry in a Listed race at the end of the week so it's interesting he's come here instead but may struggle to get the better of CHAMPAGNE CITY. The latter found Group 2 company too hot to handle at Newmarket last time but had won decent contests at Beverley and Doncaster earlier and can get back on track with another furlong to cover. Easy Southwell scorer Rasheeq has his first run on Turf but Fleeting Visit won over this trip at Chepstow and is worth a chance in this higher grade. The maidens Colour Me Happy, Sporty Yankee and Indulgent will all find easier opportunities in the weeks ahead.
