    Verdict

A shocking turnout for a decent prize but that won't concern connections of SUPPLICANT, who should have little more than an exercise gallop. Runner-up in the Windsor Castle Stakes, he started favourite for the Molecomb at Goodwood but wasn't quite at his best on that track and this should provide a nice prep run for the Mill Reef at Newbury. Ann Duffield's pair Hello Beautiful and Milly's Secret have both done well and the latter's run over 7f at Catterick was boosted by the winner Flora Medici at Beverley on Thursday but they look outclassed on this occasion.

Supplicant 11-4fav (9-0) Slowly into stride, soon chasing leaders on outside, pushed along halfway, soon lost place, rallied over 1f out, running on when not clear run and switched sharply right final 150 yards, finished well, unable to challenge, 5th of 8, 1 3/4l behind Brown Sugar (9-0) at Goodwood 5f 2yo Grp 3 (1) gs in Jul.

Milly's Secret (IRE) 10-3 (9-7) Mid-division, ridden over 2f out, kept on inside final furlong, never dangerous, 5th of 8, 4l behind Flora Medici (8-9) at Catterick 7f 2yo hcp (5) gf in Jul.

Hello Beautiful (IRE) 5-1 (8-12) Chased leaders, headway over 1f out, ran on towards finish, never nearer, 3rd of 7, 1 1/4l behind Innocently (9-4) at York 5f 2yo hcp (3) gf in Jul.
