    Verdict

Ashwaaq is put forward as the confident selection here with Mouftari and Premier Dream the others for the shortlist. The selection missed the break but ran on well at Newmarket behind Damsel back in November. She is sure to come on for the run and with the step up in trip in her favour she is taken to score. Mouftari showed a modicum of ability on his debut at Doncaster behind Torinmoor and his trainer has a fair strike-rate on this track so he is worth a second look. Premier Dream was well-beaten on his debut at Warwick but he is sure to come on for that run and with his stable in fine form he is one of the more likely winners in the field. A market move for any of the newcomers could be significant here but Aswaaq sets a fair benchmark and is given the vote.
