      Verdict

      Piccothepack was second on debut at Chelmsford but didn’t follow up that effort at Beverley, though is still preferred to stablemate and newcomer Essenza. Tim Easterby’s two-year-olds often need a run but the £25,000 purchase Raquelle is a half-sister to the stable’s useful sprinter Favourite Girl. Cambeleza is nicely-bred and, along with Agent Smith, is worth a market check. GIFTED ZEBEDEE made his debut behind the speedy Kinks here last month and shaped with promise having been outpaced in the early stages. An extra furlong will suit in time but he’ll know more today and can get off the mark.
