        Verdict

        Ellesappelle deserves to get her head in front after some consistent efforts but Karl Burke's filly is becoming expensive to follow and she may be booked for a place at best again so a chance is taken with Rose Muwasim, who is preferred to Capistrano. The last mentioned is lightly raced and open to improvement, especially now that he goes handicapping on a softer surface. Mark Johnston's Makai has been hard to win with and is probably best watched on his return, while Farne Island has had the three runs necessary for a handicap mark and may do better in this grade than in maidens. Fann and Sunbolt are others to consider but the vote goes to Ed Dunlop's Rose Muwasim, who went close to opening her account a couple of times on the all-weather but really should do better on this surface on turf and is given the vote to prove that here
