Verdict

Not a bad finish to the card and a race that can be taken by Spitting Image at his local track, with Call Me Sunshine and Best Port others to consider. The selection will relish this firm ground and remains on the same mark as when beaten a short-head by Quarry Island at Carlisle a week ago. Mary Reveley has an enviable record here from her nearby yard and Spitting Image can enhance that. Call Me Sunshine gets 2lb from the selection and that will help. He was staying on over a mile-and-a-half at Musselburgh last time out and is also well suited by fast ground. It seems likely he will get this extra two furlongs well and he must enter calculations. Of the remainder, Green 'N' Gold and Next Flight would have chances on their best form but both go best with cut in the ground, but Best Port doesn't mind it quick, stays well and can be good enough to make the frame. The selection to finish with a winner here, is Spitting Image.
