Verdict

Carol Bartley and Jim Goldie teamed-up to win this last year and have every chance this time round with MERCHANT OF DUBAI. He can race off the same mark as when going close at Doncaster last time while Scrutiny bids for a hat-trick in these events off a 4lb higher mark and is another to consider. Cornborough went close over a mile at Ripon recently and Almuhalab is partnered by Serena Brotherton after posting a better effort at Carlisle. Merchant Of Medici won under Becky Smith at Haydock back in May and could go well.
