Show Palace failed in a bid to land hat-trick when beaten in soft ground at Catterick recently and it remains to be seen if PONTY ROYALE can defy a 6lb rise after scoring over 6f here. The latter gets a speculative vote with Plantation expected to do better making his handicap debut along with Lady Elizabeth. Black Grass has plenty to find with Show Palace on running at Catterick but the handicapper has given Whispering Soul a chance dropping her 5lb after a fourth over today's trip at Musselburgh and Anne Duffield's filly could be thereabouts.
