Bonus, Bustan and Gleneagles make most appeal in this claimer and the vote is given to the last mentioned. The selection failed to pick up after travelling well in a handicap here last time, but he had previously gone close over this course and distance in a better race than this and if he can reproduce that effort he will be hard to beat. Bustan hasn't been at his best this season but he did win a handicap at Thirsk back in April and he has ground conditions to suit today so he has to be respected. Bonus has won 7 times and in this grade he is afforded plenty of consideration, but this trip is a step into the unknown for him so we have reservations regarding his ability to see this out. El Coto arrives here in good form but he is not the most straightforward. All of which returns us to Gleneagles as the one to beat.
