Verdict

All can be given a chance and conservative stakes are recommended. A chance is taken with KENSEI who was disappointing after landing a Sandown maiden in some style. He has subsequently joined David O'Meara, has dropped to a career-low turf mark and first-time out might be the time to catch him back down to a mile. George Benjamin looks a major threat, having scored with something in hand over 7f at Thirsk on his reappearance. He's yet to score over this trip but his style of running suggests he will cope comfortably with the extra furlong. Just Bond and Imperial Djay showed plenty last time too and merit respect.
