        Verdict

        Hurstwood counted two Class 6 handicaps here amongst his summer hat-trick but was beaten a long way when tackling a Class 4 on Tapeta at Southwell. Highjacked will like the conditions and stayed on strongly when runner-up on soft ground at Catterick so looks certain to get into contention but BLAZING SON (NAP) gets the nod. Beaten a neck in a division of this last year on soft ground, he's been in good form in similar conditions in recent weeks and Mark Winn's claim is a bonus. Stallone hasn't won since 2019 but has gone close on several occasions and isn't out of this.
