      Verdict

LABIENUS found his path blocked all the way up the home straight at Lingfield last time. He'd have gone very close with a clear run and David Lanigan's colt can defy top weight to make amends in this. Tom's Anna makes his handicap bow having won a maiden at Catterick recently and makes more appeal than seasonal debutant Rust, placed in all three starts last season. The latter's stablemate Cinderslipper gets a 7lb claimer on board today and Rex Whistler has a shout with a comeback run at Newcastle under his belt.
