In depth

Verdict

In a race where there are a number of question marks about a number of the runners, we like the look of Righty Ho over Platinum Charmer, Armsacrossthesea and Turftanzer. The selection is a course and distance winner and returned with a win this season by scrambling home at Ayr. Although the runner-up there has disappointed since, that rates as form enough to be competitive here. Platinum Charmer is now six pounds worse off for the three lengths he beat Armsacrossthesea at Musselburgh on May 4, but Mikasa looks held on that form, even though it was a falsely-run affair. However, that form looks good enough to give the pair chances here, as does Fortunes Favourite's 10-furlong win in a Ripon seller on April 24. Of the others, Merlins Profit is unproven at the trip, and Erupt has never won beyond nine furlongs. The others are hard to build a case for, but that is not the case with Righty Ho, who gets our vote.
