In depth

Verdict

The Haggas yard boasts an impressive strike rate at this venue and KETTLE HILL (NAP) will likely prove popular. The latter defied a penalty to beat a subsequent winner in a novices' race at Wolverhampton last month and further progress is expected now handicapping. Zhui Feng won over 7f earlier but failed to cope with a rise in the weights last time and Dawaaleeb is preferred having finished well ahead of both Motawaafeq and Home Before Dusk in last month’s Spring Mile at Doncaster. Defence Treaty has been in good form at Southwell while Hayadh should appreciate the return to today’s longer trip.
