Edgar Balthazar had been threatening to win before doing so at Newcastle, when Buccaneers Vault was behind, and though penalised he should get into contention in this similar grade. Tango Sky beat a big field at Redcar but couldn't cope with the step up to this sort of company at Pontefract. BOP IT was racing from a much higher mark a year ago and had dropped 15lb when scoring at Haydock - he can go in again. Ustinov has been running poorly but has dropped in the ratings accordingly and moved to David O'Meara so is one to watch.
