Johan made a winning reappearance at Goodwood in August with Awaal behind but that was on soft ground over a longer trip. RAMAZAN (NAP) makes more appeal as he won twice over today’s trip before beaten only a neck in the Ayr Gold Cup with Gweedore back in third and Richard Fahey’s charge can go one better. Vafortino has a shout on earlier placed efforts including a third in the Victoria Cup while recent Sandown winner Azano won this in 2021 and is preferred to Purplepay.
