In depth

Verdict

Winner finding gets no easier with another large field to sift through. Fast ground is a requisite for Best Port and he looks sure to run well, while the mare Cosmic Case escapes a penalty for winning an apprentice race on Monday. She will be hard to keep out of the frame. However, the vote goes to Chaka Zulu, who showed signs of a return to form last time in an Amateur riders event. At his best on fast ground, he will appreciate the stronger handling of Robert Winston here having been ridden by Amateur's in his last three outings.
