In depth

Verdict

A wide open contest rounds off the card and many would have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Del Mar Sunset, Fashion House and Silverhay and the tentative vote is given to Del Mar Sunset. The selection was a good second behind Gavroche last time out. That form looks rock solid as some placed horses have since franked the form, and he looks the value bet from a good draw. Fashion House rates the main danger on his best form. He will find this much easier than the race he was well beaten in behind Spectait last time out. The step-up in trip will suit and he should be noted in the market. Silverhay won well last time out when beating Bright Sun but he has a penalty for that success and he looks vulnerable off his new mark. Ballet Ballon is from a shrewd yard and is another with place claims on his best form but all his best efforts have come on a faster surface and he is opposed on that basis. Abstract Folly won well last time out but this is much more competitive and he will need to have improved again to win off this mark. Trouble Mountain has dropped to a handy mark and should be noted in the market but for the winner we return to the consistent Del Mar Sunset.
