Verdict

Clonbanan Lad had strong form in bumpers and over hurdles and made a very encouraging debut over fences behind the potentially useful Owega Star at Listowel with a couple of well regarded types behind. He'll have learnt plenty from that and will take some beating. However, MORNING ASSEMBLY has always looked as though he would make a high-class chaser and turns to the bigger obstacles after his victory in a Grade 1 novices' hurdle at the Festival here in April. Pat Fahy will have him ready and Ruby Walsh can steer the six-year-old to a winning start. Corbally Ghost didn't get far at Galway on Monday, his first start for almost two years, and though Operating made a pleasing start over fences behind Felix Yonger here in May, he's held by Clonbanan Lad on hurdles form. Dual Grade 3 winning hurdler Our Vinnie looks a cracking recruit to chasing as does Si C'etait Vrai.
