Verdict

TARLA, who won a Grade 3 over hurdles here in October, was sent chasing subsequently and after an easy debut victory fell on her next two starts. She reverted to hurdling with a game all-the-way success over the useful Rebel Fitz at Cork and will be very difficult to peg back here. Stablemate Glens Melody has done very little wrong and though put in her place by Annie Power in the Mares Championship Final at Fairyhouse time is likely to tell she was taking on a very classy performer. Oilily was well behind the selection at Cork but ran well for a long way and, as that was her first start since last July, she can get much closer. Nick Williams sends Swincombe Flame from the UK and she ran a fine race behind Quevega in the Mares Hurdle at Cheltenham when Shadow Eile was three lengths behind.
