Verdict

Coney Island won a lucrative handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse before just being held by the high-class Bellshill in a Grade 1 here in April. He looks a fine chasing prospect and Eddie Harty should have him ready for his chasing bow. After a fine debut over fences behind Lieutenant Colonel at Gowran, Just Cause didn't quite run up to that form at Galway and will need to do better. Mall Dini was unbeaten in two point-to-points and crowned a cracking first campaign over timber by taking the Pertemps Final at Cheltenham so he's one to look forward to while Last Goodbye, who completed a four-timer last season, will have come on a bundle for his chasing debut here last month. The Horsechesnut is interesting as the winning point-to-pointer hasn't run since landing a Uttoxeter handicap over hurdles in March of last year though this can go to WOODLAND OPERA. Jessica Harrington's charge narrowly beat Coney Island in a Navan maiden a year ago and ended a light campaign by beating the useful Val De Ferbet on this track in April. Haymount was well behind when runner-up to Mall Dini at Thurles but had plenty of strong form over timber and is another to consider in what should be a very informative contest.
