Crimson Sky, who beat a huge field on the Flat at Navan in October 2009 on only his second start, will be better for his hurdling debut at Leopardstown last month though he'll need significant improvement to get involved. Fever Pitch is another who will have benefited from an opening run over timber behind Hidden Universe at Leopardstown and he looks one for the future as is Oscar Hill, who showed a little promise on his introduction in a bumper here in October when strongly fancied. Kitty's Lord should do better in time but, in the absence of any real hurdles form, LEAH CLAIRE gets the vote. Four times a winner on the Flat, she has been ready to run for some time and has proven versatile as to ground conditions though prospective backers should be alerted that she has never faced conditions as testing as this.
