Verdict

COLUMN OF FIRE was alongside the promising Home By The Lee when falling two out at Fairyhouse a fortnight ago. If that mishap hasn’t affected his confidence, the Gigginstown-owned six-year-old should gain compensation here. Abyssinian injured himself when well beaten at Ballinrobe in May and is best watched having a first subsequent run for a new yard but the winning pointer Gold Des Bois is interesting switched to hurdles after just one run in a bumper when he attracted market support. Groody Rover has also won between the flags while Friary Rock is improving with experience and Rebellito will know more after a staying-on sixth here in November. For Talks Sake easily won a point in October and will have come on for last month's bumper run at Leopardstown.
