Verdict

The four-year-old Akatara almost lost her maiden tag at Fairyhouse on Saturday when just failing to catch Lucky Spring and must be on the short-list while Turnonthegas will be suited by testing ground and won a tough handicap over further here in February. Connections of Loughnagall stated that he needs good ground after he landed a Clonmel handicap last month and provided the going doesn't deteriorate he should go well from just 5lb higher. MASKED PHANTOM was having his first start since January when caught on the run-in by Abarta on heavy ground at Ballinrobe last month and further progress can see him gain his first success here. Clarkey is much better over fences where he's rated 22lb higher but he's in very good form and wasn't beaten far in a handicap chase at Gowran last time. The lightly-raced bumper winner Munsaab is one to keep an eye on in the betting.
