In depth

Verdict

Draycott Place is in very good form and though up 5lb for his Listowel victory he's won from a higher mark in the past. The lightly-raced Monbeg Chit Chat was there with every chance when falling at Tipperary and should be capable of going higher than his 113 rating but MULLINAVAT improved so much last season that he's taken to defy a long absence. A very easy winner of a Tramore novice chase in August, Henry De Bromhead then took advantage of his lowly mark over hurdles and he completed a double. He looks the type to have a successful summer starting here. Leap Dearg hasn't won since completing a hat-trick in early 2015 but has dropped to a lowly mark and was only just beaten over hurdles at Clonmel last month. Lakemilan was a very easy winner at Limerick in April though that was on testing ground.
