Verdict

Pigeon House made most to the run-in when runner-up on heavy ground at Gowran and should be suited by today's better conditions. Ballinrobe winner Our Boy Wes was sent to Market Rasen for what looked a strong juvenile contest where a mistake at the last put paid to his chances. Cossack Chach was having just his second-ever start when scoring at Killarney, staying on powerfully after the last. The third has won subsequently and he looks a smart prospect though he'll need to be to concede weight to WODHOOH. She got the race in the stewards' room after narrowly beaten by Nurburgring in a very strong contest at Listowel but, with improvement likely, looks the one to beat.
