Verdict

Unowhatimeanharry beat a tremendous field to win this in 2017 but he hasn't been in anything like that kind of form subsequently and was beaten a long way behind If The Cap Fits at Aintree. Fellow raider Vision Des Flos had beaten that winner in a Grade 2 at Fontwell but made too many mistakes in the Coral Cup at Cheltenham and has never been this far. Killultagh Vic was also beaten a long way in that latter event but Dan Skelton sends Aux Ptits Soins over and he comfortably won a Grade 3 handicap over this trip at Aintree. BAPAUME (NAP) was beaten a long way in a much better renewal of this a year ago before winning at Auteuil. He ran very well to finish fourth in the Stayers' Hurdle at Cheltenham, when stable companion Bacardys was well behind, and that form gives him the edge over a sub-standard field. Not Many Left hasn't had much experience against this sort of rival though did run very well in the Pertemps Final.
