      Verdict

Emtilaak should be good enough to take the finale with Firebird Rising and Laska the pair likely to give him the most to do. The selection is not the most straightforward of characters but he will be suited by the drop in trip and this looks easier than some of his recent assignments. He is not the type to be lumping on at short odds but he still looks the one to beat. Firebird Rising showed plenty of promise on her racecourse debut when she finished behind Birthday Suit at York. She was sent off favourite so she is clearly well-regarded and she is likely to give our selection the most to do. Laska ran-on well after being outpaced at the start at Leicester on her racecourse bow, so she is another that could be capable of better here. Wrenlane hails from a shrewd yard and has shown a fair level of form, but he might just need this, his first run of the season. This is not an easy race to predict and the market may provide some clues for punters, but Emtilaak sets a fair standard and is given the vote.
