Verdict

PHOENIX CLUBS could have the edge in this as the last time she encountered 5f in soft ground, she ran out a winner at Redcar. Paul Midgley's filly gets the nod ahead of the speedy Sunny Side Up, who has won three times on a fast surface this season, and Mercers Row, who has struggled off higher marks since landing a double back in May. Tuibama is another in the handicapper's grip at present but Captain Royale is back on a winning mark if he can find his best. Bronze Beau may have finally slipped down to a decent mark as he showed signs of a return to form at Beverley last week.
