In depth

Verdict

A low-grade handicap in which most have been operating on the all-weather including Otto Oyl, who lost her maiden tag in an amateurs' race at Southwell. She's 9lb higher here as her rider claimed 7lb that day. Odd Socks Havana has been placed in all seven starts on Tapeta this year, winning twice, and has a Turf victory to his credit. He's up in the weights but this shouldn't take much winning though he's held by KRYSTAL MAZE on their 1-2 at Southwell. The latter didn't perform as well at Wolverhampton next time but has won on the Turf and can get back on the winning trail. Amalfi Salsa has yet to win in a dozen starts while Iron Sheriff's Beverley victory last summer came on soft ground. Divine Connection has been going well on Tapeta but she's been beaten off lower marks recently.
