      Verdict

Van Gerwen won this last year from exactly the same mark and scored at Beverley last month when he had MUSHARRIF a short-head back in second. A repeat doesn't look out of the question but the runner-up was conceding 8lb that day and only has 2lb to give away this time. Stewardess completed a double over 6f on quicker ground than she'll face today and the handicapper looks to have her in his grip. Paul Midgley runs two with seven-times winner Mr Orange taking a drop in class though he's never won over a trip this short. Arcavallo won a better handicap than this over 6f here in August and though that was on fast going he's won on good to soft so shouldn't be inconvenienced.
