In depth

Verdict

SMILING STRANGER has much the best form of these. He was just outpointed by the well-regarded Connecticut at Newbury last month and the latter has subsequently won a handicap - Andrew Balding's colt gets the nod. There's not much to choose between the remainder with Stout Cortez and Mambo Rhythm sharing the same handicap mark and looking vulnerable to one of the less exposed types such as Westerly or Strawberry Martini.
