        Verdict

        Hidden Spell began with a narrow defeat over 6f here when headed close home but hasn't made the expected progress. Mecca's Hot Steps looked a likely future winner when headed close home at Doncaster in May but has been finding little at the business end in recent races. SEAS OF ELZAAM started favourite for his debut over 6f at Catterick but looked in need of experience. He showed up nicely and normal progress can see him recover losses. Jeanie B never got involved over 6f at Salisbury but stayed on well and though dropping back in trip this is a much stiffer track. Spirit Of The Sky has a very speedy pedigree and is one to keep an eye on in the market.
