Verdict

This looks wide open and so it may pay to concentrate on those with proven track form, including Swynford Pleasure, Cheeky Girl and Classic Millennium, with the latter getting the vote. Bill Musson's five-year-old has been in good form of late, scoring twice in her last four starts, the latest of which came from three pounds out of the handicap at Kempton. She appeared to have plenty in hand, so a small rise should not stop the mare from being concerned in the finish under regular pilot Lisa Jones. The South African gave her partner a good ride at Bath earlier when over coming traffic problems to swoop and conquer, and although this is a slight drop in trip, she will be suited by the stiff finish here. Cheeky Girl scraped home at Thirsk the time before last but failed to follow up at Ripon. She is game but looks beatable, as does Swynford Pleasure who needs to be produced at just the right time and does not always find enough in the closing stages. Geri Roullette is weighted up to the hilt and Cantrip's one victory was a surprise all the way one at Lingfield. Classic Millennium must therefore be the percentage call.
