      Verdict

      MY GIRL MAGGIE faced a tougher task at Newmarket on her reappearance but still finished a decent third in novice company. She’ll likely improve again now handicapping and Mark Johnston’s filly should have the edge over Revolver. The latter has been gelded since last year when failing to figure over 7f but this extra distance will suit the Prescott charge and Nikolayeva is another upped in trip having won at Wolverhampton back in January, though debuts on Turf today. Baltic Wolve is fitted with headgear on his return and looks best of the rest.
