Becky The Thatcher has been raised 8lb after winning easily over today’s trip at Carlisle last time with Katie Gale a well-beaten third. The former had earlier been beaten a head by Wemyss Point over a marathon 2m5f trip at this venue but WAITING FOR RICHIE (NAP) makes most appeal given he won a higher grade race than this over the extended 2m at York on his return to action. Tom Tate’s charge can go in again off only a 2lb higher mark. Azam has plenty to prove over today’s trip while recent winning hurdler Tyrell finished a long way behind Wemyss Point earlier.
