    Verdict

Henry Hall has run well over course and distance before and can win today at the main expense of Polish Emperor, John Keats and Majestical. Now aged eleven, Henry Hall showed that he retains plenty of zest for racing when third at Catterick on Friday. The winner was long gone by then but he should be suited by the stiffer finish here at Pontefract. In his peak he would have blitzed these but he still retains ability and can run another good race at decent odds. Majestical won well at Wolverhampton three weeks ago but is yet to win in 22 starts on turf so can be opposed again. John Keats drops in trip which doesn't looks ideal as he can be sleeping in the stalls, however if it is going to work anywhere it will work here. Polish Emperor also drops in trip which will need to work the oracle as he has been out of form on his last two outings. Paddywack is a course and distance winner so warrants respect from this lowly mark on ground that suits. Divine Spirit and Viewforth are two more to consider, however old-timer Henry Hall gets the tentative vote to land his 11th victory.
