Ideal Candy had been running in handicaps before landing a classified stakes at Chepstow, when The Throstles was behind, and looks a bit high in the weights after a 6lb rise. Chikoko Trail, who is by Sixties Icon, looks as a longer trip would suit but ALIENTO (NAP) was having her first start over the distance when beaten a head at Wetherby where she didn't quite get the run of the race. Ollie Pears filly can go one better though Mearing is another who didn't enjoy the best of runs at Beverley and a more experienced apprentice takes over.
