In depth

Verdict

Mister Twister makes a quick return to the racetrack following an impressive victory at Redcar on Saturday and has to be considered along with the lightly raced Cesare, but Aperitif was most impressive last time and is taken to follow up. Willie Haggas's gelding landed a few nice bets when storming away with a decent Hamilton handicap last week. This race is slightly tougher but the manor of that facile success suggests he can follow up today. Cesare was winning on only his second outing when beating stable companion Canteloup at Beverley last time. He is open to any amount of improvement and could be a big danger to the selection. Mistress Twister did well to come from behind in that big field at Redcar and the fact that she runs again so quickly is a tip in itself. So a very open contest but Aperitif is in hot form at present and edges the decision.
