In depth

Verdict

Solo Saxophone completed a hat-trick last summer and also won a match at Newmarket. He's also scored four times over hurdles so the trip is no problem. Prince Imperial went up 7lb for an easy victory over 2m at Chelmsford but very nearly made all in a Newmarket handicap and is on the same mark. Let Me Be has already won six times this season, including over slightly further on this track. He wasn't at his best at Musselburgh last time and may have had enough for now. The three-year-old TASHKHAN is progressing at a rate of knots and though up 6lb for landing a better-class handicap at Haydock can defy the extra, though some rain would aid his cause. Military Two Step won a 2m Chester handicap by 12 lengths and was racing in much better company over shorter at Newbury next time.
