Verdict

Too Many Diamonds was still beaten a distance when second over fences last time and remains 9lb higher than when landing a hat-trick earlier this year. Magical Thomas finally came good over hurdles at Fontwell last month and is only 3lb higher for this but it was soft going when Kastani Beach placed at Sandown back in March. OSGOOD is far from consistent having won at Huntingdon in between a couple of woeful efforts but he was partnered by today’s conditional when landing last year’s renewal and may well return to winning ways if the mood takes him.
