Verdict

VODKA BROOK is selected in preference to Award Winner and Bench Warrent. Robert and Sally Alner's horse went into many notebooks after an eyecatching reappearance that probably caused more questions than answers. He should have come on for that run and can make it count today. Award Winner lowered the colours of According To Dick at Exeter. He has to repeat the dose giving a penalty all around on this occasion. Winning pointer, Bench Warrent looked in need of the run at Southwell and should have stripped fitter for that outing. Mollys Garden has shaped with a degree of promise in bumpers and makes some appeal of those at longer odds. Hello Hector let down his backers at Newton Abbot during the summer and much more is required against this standard of opposition. Vodka Brook gets the nod.
