Verdict

Molly Carew carries a penalty for her victory on very testing ground at Lingfield, where Postbridge was behind, which appeared to suit. She could do with more rain while Hermarna won on soft ground on the Flat and will be better for her hurdling debut at Ludlow where she took a while to get the hang of the job. Chandos Belle scored on soft ground on the Flat in France and showed potential on her hurdling debut at Doncaster where she was in the front rank for most of the way. PHOENICIANA looks the one to be on as Lucy Wadham's mare has been narrowly beaten in all three starts over timber, the latest when staying on strongly on heavy ground at Lingfield.
